Mission

For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the LORD, ” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you home and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11

Witnessing His Grace, Sharing His Love

First and foremost, we give thanks to God the Father for granting us the profound opportunity to delve into the inspiring history of Mission Nazareth Ministry. In its inception, Mission Nazareth was a humble prayer cell, a spiritual gathering that came to life within the intimate confines of a home in Arsandey village, located in the Kanke block of Ranchi district in the state of Jharkhand, India.

During its nascent stages, this ministry served as a place where people converged solely for prayer. It wasn’t until 2005, when Anila Lakra (Nag) underwent a remarkable transformation in her life, that this prayer group found its home in her residence. Shortly thereafter, the transformative power of prayer extended its reach as Brother Novel Nag, too, experienced a life-altering change and joined the prayer circle.

The impact of this prayer group was nothing short of extraordinary, catalyzing profound changes not only within the lives of their family members but also within the immediate community. People abandoned their sinful ways, turning instead to the worship of Jesus Christ and eagerly participating in this prayer cell.

Spreading Light, Building Hope

In 2008, a significant event unfolded as Oscar Sunny Lakra married Anila and became an integral part of the ministry. This union, however, brought with it a series of challenges and persecutions from both family members and society at large. Yet, through it all, their unwavering faith in God remained resolute.

Guided by a divine vision, Pastor Anila Lakra, a devoted servant of God, received a message from the Lord that it was time to elevate this prayer cell to new heights. This vision aligned with the scripture from Acts 1:8, which promises that with the arrival of the Holy Spirit, believers would receive power to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Drawing strength from this promise, Mission Nazareth was propelled forward to expand its ministry.

On March 18, 2013, this ministry reached a significant milestone by officially registering itself under the name of Mission Nazareth, marking a pivotal moment in its remarkable journey.
